The mariachi band that played was awesome. Generally I am not a fan of the mariachi band, because when I am at a mexican restaurant I feel like they are stalking me...its all very uncomfortable. But it was really fun to have them at the party!

Friends for ages....here are Alli, Sarah and I! We have all known eachother since middle school! It was really fun to spend the week together.

Adventure cont...

After we finished looking at the ruins we hit up a little taco stand for some cervezas! There were some locals putting on this crazy show where they climed to the top of a pole (otherwise known as a lightning rod) and them flung themsleves off and dangled by thier bodies (see below). We think it was some sort of rain dance, because all of a sudden it started pouring!!

After the ruins we went to an adventure area where we snorekled in a cave (freezing water!) then went rappelling then ziplining!

Mayan ruins (and a cool iguana)

We went on a cool excursion one day to some Mayan ruins. It was really cool. there were iguanas hiding everywhere in the rocks. If you threw flowers to them they would come out and eat them!
